My daughter is a Yoga instructor, so I had to get these right! I'll share some of the meanings of the symbols with you :)
The Om symbol looks a little like "3d" and is often chanted at the beginning or end of a Yoga class. Made up of the sounds of the letters A-U-M, Om is all about threes. It is said to represent the "one-ness" of creation (heavens, earth and underworld). Om is thought to be one of the most powerful mantras, and the ritual of chanting Om has been done for thousands of years.
A symbol of light and emergence from darkness, the Lotus Flower is a water lily. It blooms on the surface but its roots are deeply embedded in the mud. Buddhists compare the opening of the lotus flower petals to the unfolding of what is divine within you. It is a perfect reflection of new beginnings, purity and enlightenment.
The Hamsa symbol appears as the palm of a hand, and many cultures see it as a sign of protection. The hamsa should be worn with the fingers facing down to offer protection, and to bring luck and strength.
